Honeymoon, Part 3

Well, we’ve reached the end of the Honeymoon photos (so sad!).

Luke and I were talking the other day about how weirdly fun Honeymoons are… All of sudden, you’re married and going on this vacation with a person you’ve never lived with before! And you have to navigate lots of things together – like value systems (ie, “I value sleeping in”, or “I value having a plan for everyday”, or “I value not eating burritos for every meal”). 😉
Some of these things you simply can’t plan for while you’re dating – you just have to enjoy the adventure and challenge of learning to do life together! We had a lot of fun learning how to communicate better and get some rest while on our Honeymoon – and we were so grateful for our families who helped us take the trip. 🙂

So although we shall have many more fun adventures and vacations together, we will never have a “Honeymoon” again – it’s a once in a lifetime trip! And we had a wonderful one.

^ Happy pumpkin. IMG_0151 IMG_0152 IMG_0153

^ Painting pottery. Wooooooo!IMG_0154 IMG_0155 IMG_0156 IMG_0157 IMG_0160 IMG_0165

^ Pre-massage!

^ This is the massage yurt, and it is incredibly cool! It has a wood burning stove inside and a clear tarp on the ceiling to see the rain and trees with – not to mention a very relaxing massage time!IMG_0169 IMG_0173

^ Thai food lunch in Portland after we went to Mars Hill church.
We only got to spend a day in Portland, then drove back up to Seattle.

^ The infamous Stumptown. Pretty good coffee I’d say. IMG_0177 IMG_0178

^ LITERALLY (in the words of Chris Traeger from Parks & Rec) the longest line ever for these donuts.
Although my love for donuts runs deep, my love for waiting in lines does not. So we never got any. Haha.

^ We finished the Honeymoon with a couple days in Seattle!

^ Blurry photo, but the Farmer’s Market was wonderful! I had a coconut danish there. AND IT WAS AMAZING.IMG_1105

^ Little fishies at the Seattle Aquarium. We really like going to aquariums. IMG_1108 IMG_1110 IMG_1113

^ Touching the little critters was the weirdest thing ever. IMG_1119

^ Freaky little jellyfish. IMG_1126 IMG_1132

Seattle!

Ze end!
