And we saw the sunrise. And it was lovely.
We went up there probably about 3 months ago on a whirlwind adventure (aka, we left at 2 in the morning and ate QT donuts and taquitos the whole way there. Our main phrase for the night was, “We’re getting too old for this!”)
But regardless of us becoming grandmas who can’t stay up all night, it really was a fun adventure. It was a clear morning and we made it JUST in time to see the sun peek over the horizon. We then spent the rest of the day in Flagstaff (and by that I mean we slept for the rest of the day. Haha).
If you have never been to the beautiful canyon, I’d suggest it. Especially to see the sunrise!

Seeing the sunrise certainly makes you think about the verse from Lamentations that says,
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.”
