Well, lately due to rainy weather and candles, I have been nostalgic and missing the lovely time Luke and I had in Washington for our honeymoon…
So, I thought I would make a post of it and share some photos from our adventure!
Luke and I were super blessed to spend a whole week and a half in the Pacific Northwest for our honeymooney! It was so nice to detox after wedding chaos, while spending it in beautiful, rainy and overcast weather (something particularly special to AZ inhabitants). And it was special, since I’d never been to Washington!
We flew into Seattle on our trip, got a rental car, and then drove about 2 hours southwest to a little vacation town called Seabrook.
Now Seabrook is quite possibly one of the most beautiful and quaint little beach towns I’ve ever seen (but it’s also randomly in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by old and quirky towns). The neighborhood is set right off the coast, and it’s closest neighboring towns are Pacific Beach and Ocean Shores (which you might recognize from the indie movie, Safety Not Guaranteed).
Anyway, the neighborhood has tons of custom houses, ready to accommodate anywhere from 2-20 people. During the summer, this place is HAPPENING. We came in the off-season, and it was still pretty busy! The neighborhood has a cute grocery, restaurant, pottery painting place, pet store, and bookstore/gift shop (and even more shops are coming soon).
It was basically a blast. We watched movies, ate junk food, had a picnic at the beach, painted pottery, got massages in a yurt (crazy, I know!).
Since there’s so many pictures, I’ll split this up into a couple posts… just to keep ya’ll on your toes. 😉
But for now, I present: Honeymoon Part 1 – The AZ to Seabrook Adventure
We parked next the the other “just married”s. I mean, who wouldn’t?
Breakfast at the Doubletree (this is still in AZ. We flew out this afternoon). Also, we were really hungry.
There’s going to be lots of these gushy types of pics. Brace yourself.
Finally leaving PHX. Lovely sunset.
Gushy picture in Seattle.
Exploring Seabrook on bikes! How cool, eh?!
The coast was BEAUTIFUL and rugged! Such a testimony to our Creator’s majesty!
Here’s some panoramas of the town! Too cute, right?
The lovely beach was within eyesight!
Okay, so that’s all for now… I don’t want to overwhelm you with too much gushy cuteness all in one day. Enjoy. And look out for Parts 2, 3, and however many more it takes to see all the pics. 😉
